Who is Team 1-0-7 Barbell?
Ben Moore:
Ben started in powerlifting at the age of 13 when a football coach got a group together to head to a meet. Since then Ben has gone on to turn Pro in Strongman in the Lightweight class, total Elite in the 275's with a 2031 effort, and continued to hone his skills as a father and husband. His wife is very supportive of his efforts and he is the father of 3 beautiful little girls who sometimes tag along with him to the gym.From Ben:
“I take the approach that everyone can be great. They just need the right atmosphere, heavy training, food and rest. That's what makes our small gym so great. Everyone is ready and willing the help out I'd trade nothing to substitute the experiences I have with 1-0-7 Barbell.”
Kevin Rekowski:
Kevin Rekowski is 5’9” and at the time of this writing is 250 pounds and 24 years old. He has been training for power lifting for about 3 years. He has competed in 4 power lifting meets and done six strongman competitions to date. He is originally from Fenton, Missouri (near St. Louis) and went to school at Missouri State University where he studied Economics and Mathematics. He also played goalie on their ACHA hockey team all four years he was there.
Kevin moved to Kansas City to train at 1-0-7 Barbell after graduating and landing a job at State Street in Kansas City. His future goals with lifting are to squat 1,000 pounds in a meet and bench press 405 raw.
Will Noble:
Will is a Heavyweight lifter originally from Winchester, KY. Will has been training for powerlifting for 5 years and prior to that played football for the University of Kentucky Wildcats. Will has competed in 6 meets to date (both multi and single ply). Will recently switched to bench only due to a major back injury, however plans to return to full meet lifting in the future. Will recently began working with Rick Hussey at Big Iron Gym in Omaha, to address “glaring issues on the bench”.
Will came to Kansas City from Foxboro Ma. where he works for Toyota USA in their parts distribution operation.
Will’s current goal is a 600lb. Shirted bench in the 275/308 class
Travis Willingham
Travis Willingham is 6 foot, 325 pounds and 35 years old. Originally from Wright City, Missouri, he attended the University of Missouri where he received his BS in Fisheries and Wildlife Management, then relocating to Kansas City to earn his Juris Doctor from the University of Missouri – Kansas City School of Law. He currently works as an attorney in Kansas City, Missouri. Bored with using his mind and not his muscles, Travis decided to train for and compete in Scottish Highland Games. For 2009, he has put his Games training on hold to bulk up and increase his overall strength in preparation for attempting the Dinnie Stones in Scotland in September where he hopes to become just the fourth American to lift the stones unassisted.

Shawn Scott
Shawn Scott is 6 feet and 195 pounds, 34 years old. He has been weight training for over 15 years and has competed in many different type of events including triathlons, bodybuilding contests, deadlift only meets, marathons, adventure races, and ultra marathons.Current goals are to complete in a full raw powerlifting meet and squat 405+, bench 315+, and deadlift 600+ at 198.
Adam Long
Adam Long is 6'1 250lbs. He began working on his Strength and Conditioning to help improve his athleticism for football. Adam played collegiate football at Northwest Missouri State University, where he was an All-American linebacker. Once he was done with his football career he continued his training, and stumbled upon 1-0-7 Barbell while living in K.C. He has been training for Power Lifting for a little over a year. He plans on competing in Full Power Meets ASAP.
